My 13th Overnight Sensations: ‘The Bus to the Vylatlag Corrective Labor Camp’

For the 13th time, I took part as a writer in Overnight Sensations, the 24-hour play festival sponsored by Hollins University in conjunction with Mill Mountaini Theatre. This year’s effort (over July 3-4) resulted in “THE BUS TO THE VYATLAG CORRECTIVE LABOR CAMP,” a love story on a public bus. To make it interesting, that bus was a bus to a woman’s prison in the 1953 Soviet Union. Gotta have a twist, man.

First, the writers draw a director. Here’s fellow writer Laura King.
Here’s me.
Here’s my director, Claire F. Martin, picking the cast.

The full list of prompts.
The first read-through.
Rehearsal. Alas. I have no production photos.
