‘A Most Horrid Conspiracy’ produced in Virginia

“A Most Horrid Conspiracy” is short (hour-long) play based on a true story about how a barrelmaker from Virginia named John Wyatt became a spy during the American Revolution and infilitrated a nest of Tory sympathizers who were planning an uprising. The title comes from a letter that a local militia leader sent to then-Gov. Thomas Jefferson to describe what had been uncovered. It’s a two-person script with Wyatt and his granddaughter years later.

The show was produced by Attic Productions in Fincastle, Virginia in May 2026.
